The Island of Morada as I see it.

The following is a written transcript from a recent PBR interview:

[ 5: An interviewer] "Welcome back everyone, it is now time for one of my favorite segments of our program - "Meet the tourists of Morada!" Today we are interviewing Kim Canella. Welcome Kim!"

[ 5: Kim Canella] "Thank you very much for inviting me."

[ 5: An interviewer] "Kim, tell us when you arrived in Morada, and what brought you here."

[ 5: Kim Canella] "In the spring of 1997 I was teaching at a university in the US, I was trying to decide how to spend my summer vacation when I came across a brochure about the island of Morada on the bulletin board in the university library. After reading it, I glanced at the stack of mid-term exams I had yet to grade, and I jumped up right then and called my travel agent."

[5: An interviewer] "Oh, you taught at a university, what did you teach?"

[5: Kim Canella] "Introductory Math and Accounting courses, very dry subjects. It wasn't until I spent a few weeks on Morada that I discovered my true passion....as I traveled around the island, making deliveries, I started noticing the many different kinds of insects here. I have spent many happy hours making notes of the insects on the island, I call it my Entomology Log, my friends call it my Bug Book. But, if you want to know where to find tinging gnats at eight a.m., I can tell you!"

[5: An interviewer] "Ahem, I see."

[5: An interviewer] "So, are you still here on vacation? If so, that is quite a long vacation."

[5: Kim Canella] "<laugh> No, when my summer vacation was almost over, I knew I wasn't ready to leave the island, so I wrote to the university and told them I was going to take a one year sabbatical. Since then, I have continued to enjoy tracking down criminals, exploring the island, and, most especially, spending wonderful times here with friends. That made me decide to remain on Morada indefinitely."

[5: An interviewer] "Kim, I would like to thank you for visiting with us here today. And, listeners, please be sure to join us next time for "Meet the tourists of Morada!"
