Shalie MacIntosh is a former large-size model from the United States. She is well-traveled and enjoys getting to know people and discovering their personality traits. Shalie has always been able to "read" people. Though she often knows what people feel or think she tends to give them the benefit of the doubt. This is her greatest fault. She is forever giving people a second chance.

Presently a teacher by trade she came to the island to speak at the University and decided to stay. Soon she met Wegarius Hodge, via an introduction by Julie McCoy, and they became good friends. Weg and Shalie explored the island together, making friends and, after a year, getting married. Both were involved in the horrible accident when the hotel exploded.

Shalie was standing in front of the hotel when Weg came by and knocked her to the ground as the hotel blew up. As Weg shielded her with his body she knew he was the man of her dreams.

Married for two years now, the happy couple visit the island often. While Weg likes non-violent exploits, Shalie prefers trying to persuade the brawlers, thugs and henchmen to mend their ways.

An accomplished knife fighter, Shalie does not fear going where others fear to tread. If the criminals won't listen to her pleas and should they attack, she can and does take care of herself.

At present, Shalie visits the island often, taking classes and working to help the island dwellers clean up their communities by helping criminals to open themselves to healing.

Shalie firmly believes that with the Lord's help her work will make a difference.
