Arayana's Story

The Story of Arayana!

Arayana was born a gnome, but raised by two human monks in Dirimloth forest, so she does not know her kind. The humans trained her to fight from an early age, though martial art was never a skill her short body could use to advantage, she learned to wield a sword with deadly precision. Leaving the forest at the age of 18 she was unprepared for the Changes that would come to her. After a short period of time she was able to find the town of Devardec and register as a citizen. When someone pointed out the Adventurers Guild, she made her first friend.
A young knight by the name of Demolay took her under his wing and introduced her to many people. A follower of Change, he taught her how to take what was given to her and use it to her advantage. He also taught her that Change is ever present, but not domineering. With enough willpower, the Change can be shifted, if not stopped, into something she could live with. Soon she joined the Warrior's guild, and began a life of adventure and combat that kept her blood racing with excitement.
Years passed and Demolay disappeared but a Warrior took his place at her side. His name was Taltos and a Blade of Zir. Together they fought side by side and when she appealed to the Lady Khan for entry into her temple he was there beside her with support and love.
Arayana grew and prospered both in the guild and in the temple. She created the Warriors mentorship program and ran it til she was elected GuildMistress of the Warrior's Guild. In the temple she spends her time helping who she can and sticking her nose in where she can't, but her love of Change keeps life exciting for her. As Khan's High Priestess, Arayana finds herself somewhat in shock and sits contemplating the course of her life for long periods of time.
One battle involved the power of Change, but of such high magnitude that she was left with the ability to shift into a small fluffy rabbit. New to the ability and still unsure of herself she finds difficulty reverting to her gnomish form and does not use this power often. Still, the mannerisms of this new form seem to stay with her. She developed a tendency to bounce in one spot when excited and to twitch her nose when contemplating a thought or idea. While a new love of daisies has her spreading them everywhere she can, including peoples heads and her previously beloved blueberry patch, which Lisaria tended so lovingly. Her young son is following in his fathers footsteps and thus leaves her with much time to work or play as her form decides.
Recently she went through a crisis, when some criminals plotted against her and managed to stab her in the back. Her death affected many people and many things. Change was running rampant with no control, it had turned into Chaos.
The temple of Change gathered and by the power of Change that ran through her already, they managed to bring her spirit back to life. Her true form is now a gelatinous red blob of blood, but with the capability to form into any shape it wishes and appear realistic. The events left her Changed from her original self though, and she found she could no longer be the Warrior that she originally was. Resigning as GuildMistress and leaving the Warrior's guild, she currently roams the lands committed to her temple, and to helping those in need.
