Snazzle's Story

The Story of Snazzle!

Born in the caverns of Hellegost, Snazzle is the only child of Jaedin and Chandra. Though her parents were simple miners, they wanted more for their precious child. Both parents worked extra hours in the mines to provide enough gold to send her to school, hoping she would one day become a great warrior.

The year before Snazzle was to enter combat training, a rock slide crushed both her parents, leaving Snazzle an orphan and without family. The dwarves pulled together and raised her as a community, hoping to one day provide enough gold to send the small dwarf to school so she could fulfill her parents dreams.

The chaos of being passed around from one family to the next disoriented Snazzle. Though she loved her new families, she found herself retreating from crowds and finding excuses to be alone. In an effort to please those around her and to avoid the guilt of killing her parents, she became very light-hearted and playful, her focus on smiling and a propensity for adventure. She spent many hours away from her home and found much enjoyment within the forests.

As she grew older and the time came for her to make her own life decisions, Snazzle left the caverns once and for all. She wanted away from the pain of losing her parents, a hidden pain that still haunted her when she walked into the dark, dank caves.

Unfortunately, Snazzle had spent so much time engaging in foolish antics that her training was incomplete and she found herself frequently running from small creatures. Frightened and alone she found herself in the forests of Northern Dirimloth. A kind elf offered to protect her from the harsh world. The elf tended to her wounds and gave her advice on how to become a stronger warrior. The gentle touch of his hand on her injuries, changed the mischievous dwarf. Instead of merely protecting the lands, she wanted to heal those in need.

Wandering through the forest, a new path formed before her; a path of combat and healing, a path that beckoned her. As soon as she stepped on this new path she knew it was right for her. Though she never became the warrior her parents wanted, she found peace in the sacred forest that guarded the Rangers Guild.

She also grew tired of solitude and began to seek out new companions to explore the realm. Growing up in so many different homes made it easy for Snazzle to meet new people. Seeking pleasure and excitement, she still found herself pulling childish pranks and would make people laugh with her impish grin.

Though playful, her parents deaths still haunted her and she decided to find a purpose in her life. In an attempt to ease her pain, Snazzle began to heal lost souls, a skill lacking in the community where she grew up, a skill that would have saved her parents.

Still struggling in the world, a kind man took an interest in her and began to guide her as she walked her path. He advised her on training, relationships and how to be a more honorable person. This man became the father she had lost. Her love and respect grew for him each day. The bond between the two became unbreakable. Shortly after her 19th birthday, Sorton adopted her and his love and compassion began to erase the years of pain and loneliness.

With the strength of her new father she was able to finally give her heart to a wonderful elf with sparkling blue eyes and a warm smile. After a two year engagement, the two were married. Active in both their temple and their guild it was a miracle when Snazzle finally became pregnant. The arduous pregnancy was complicated when the dark elves attacked the small dwarf, determined to take her child as their own.

Her husband and the land fought bravely to protect Snazzle and held the dark elves at bay until the child could be safely delivered. Tyra Kiral, a beautiful dwelf with her mothers features and her fathers smile was the pride and joy of the loving couple until the day they tried to rescue the land from a plague of doubt and he was poisoned. Ripped from her arms, the father of her child and the love of her life was no more. He had been called to a higher duty.

Retreating back to the nurturing arms of her sister and the comfort of her friends, Snazzle was determined to not let her loss ruin the life of her daughter. Feeling the pain of her parents deaths again she threw herself into her work, hoping to make the Rangers guild a better place for Tyra.

The simple things in life still amused the dwarf. She still liked to hear people laugh and make her daughter smile. In time, she met a half-elf who was able to make her laugh and smile again. A half-elf who was kind to her child and made her feel special once more. She began to think on the choices she had made in her life, the paths she had walked. Though she had no regrets she saw many more paths before her . She saw the scared dwarf she once was in many young adventurers. Determined to make a difference she looked for ways to inspire and help people find their own paths as she sought to understand her own.

Seeking clarity was difficult for the silly mind of the small dwarf until the day her hands touched the Orb of Inspiration. As the bright light consumed her, she saw only one path before her, a path to follow Kirala and help inspire others to understand and appreciate everything around them, knowing each one of us only has a finite amount of time in the lands...

As the paths in her life turned, she found her path running along side the path of another, a man whom she had known for sometime, but never noticed. After many long debates and quiet strolls, the two realized their paths were merging and decided to be wed. Walking across a bed of hot coals, the couple sealed their fate before Kirala and their friends.

Shortly after the wedding, Snazzle became pregnant. A difficult and long pregnancy, Thaak watched over his wife with worry as her small frame expanded to nurture the growing half-ogre. A month before the child was due, Torretan poisoned Snazzle's chocolate, killing mother and child instantly. For days, Snazzle moped, carrying the dead child in her womb. Finally, Thaak forced her to have it removed before it took her life as well.

The surgery was performed beneath the tree of life with Hearthome and Shilana watching. A small child, Samryn Arau was born dead and placed on her mothers belly. With glowing hands, Shilana channeled the couple's love through her body into the baby, restoring its life. Weakened from the premature birth, the death and the poison, Samryn will never hold a weapon, will never be a Ranger or Barbarian. The gift of life beneath the druids tree has forced the child on the path to be a druid; Shilana's gift bringing the child to the temple of love.

The path Thaak and Snazzle walk is sometimes rocky; separate guilds and temples tugging at them. Regardless of duty, the couple finds time to spend with each other, their spirits melding more and more with each passing moment, their paths forever one.
