| This site is dedicated to those who have a special appreciation for that most feminine of garments, the bra. In times past, it was the most unmentionable of unmentionables, only glimpsed as a pale image hiding beneath a sheer bodice or blouse. Today, it is worn openly on television, and depicted on billboards as if it were outerwear. To many men, it is a memory of childhood, an image that stirs strong feelings of forbidden desire. For many women, it was the symbol of coming of age, of becoming a grownup. Not so long ago, in a more turbulent era, it was shunned as a symbol of oppresion by the politically active. Yet the garment endures, both as costume and fashion necessity. In these pages, we present images of bras, both classic and modern, with emphasis on styles worn by women in everyday life. We think you will agree that that they all deserve a place in fashion history. With the appropriate click in your browser, each one can be downloaded for inclusion in your personal collection.

About the pictures on this site:
Most of the images you will see here at Bandeau Boudoir are from commercial advertising. We have carefully tried to avoid duplication of images found on other bra-related sites. In other words, we do our own work, and do not borrow from others. We pay attention to image quality and presentation, so that you will have an enjoyable experience while browsing.
Note that some images will provide enlargements when clicked, such as the Sky Bali image to the right. (This is one of the most famous classic structural bras still being worn by many women today, and a favorite of your hosts.) |

| Join us for a strange journey through one of the most famous advertising campaigns ever devised! Fully clothed, usually, save for a top, these bra-clad models ended up in some of the most unlikely and humorous situations, proudly displaying the company's products, as if totally unaware of the exposure. Although mild by today's standards, these ads contained some of the most erotic images ever to grace a magazine page. Pleasant dreams! |
