We've had mail from many guests who asked to submit images for scanning and inclusion at Bandeau Boudoir, Sylvia's Bridal Image Parlor, and Sylvia Aster's Place. If you are one of those individuals, we're now ready to accomodate you!

We are looking for images similar to the ones you see on our sites, which include lingerie, bras, girdles, foundations (of any kind,) slips, bridal and bridesmaid gowns, feminine dresses (particularly from the 1950's and early 1960's,) and any other images that present frank femininity in any kind of apparel. We'd prefer that these be from magazine ads, features, and from mail-order catalogs, with the name and date of the publication either indicated, or included on a note in the mailing. We're documenting the recent history (the last 40-50 years) of feminine apparel as represented in the advertising media, so keep this in mind when considering submissions.

Dont send commercial erotica! Don't send pages from Playboy, Leg Show, or other similar publications. Do not send photographs of amateur models that you have purchased from a commercial service, or have taken yourself (we cannot print candids without the permission of the model.) We cannot use any material with exposure of any kind included in the pose (breasts, etc.) Keep it PG-rated. Look at the images on our sites, and use them as a guide.

We will simply return unusable material unscanned, so don't bother sending it! We do not wish to be difficult, but we see no reason to waste time scanning material we cannot include on our sites, or have little personal interest in.

Don't send floppies or Zips of scans you have done yourself, via the mail. If you wish to submit scanned images, write to us (aster314@aol.com) and we'll make arrangements to take them as e-mail attachments. Don't bombard us with entire catalogs of images without arranging in advance, or we'll be forced to delete them!

We ask that you include return postage (a $3.00 stamp for Priority Mail, available at the post office) for your material, unless you don't want it back (unlikely!) Be sure to include a clearly written or typed copy of your return address - this is important, because it will be used as your mailing label. We will try to re-use the mailer in which we receive the material, if at all possible. If you don't want your material damaged, be sure to package it between sheets of stiff cardboard. If you want copies of the full size, high resolution scans we always begin with, include either floppies or a Zip disk, depending upon the quantity of material. (The average 1.4 MB floppy holds between 6 and 8 large scans of catalog pages or ads. Individual files tend to be between 150-350 KB each.)

Your images will be cleaned up after the scan, if necessary, to remove scratches and damage, such as folds or creases. Faded images will receive color correction.

We will return your material as soon as possible, but please remember that we are busy folks, and that we are only doing this as a hobby - NOT as a business. We therefore make no guarantees as to time of the return delivery. Although we will make every effort to see that all returns occur safely, we cannot speak for the post office.

IMPORTANT: We cannot send copies of our database (or selections from it) by mail, so don't ask. We will return the scan data for your material only. In the future, there will be a project aimed at making our image catalog available, but the details are still being worked out. In the meantime, we appreciate your understanding!
