These shots are composites of images taken during the November 30, 2001 occultation of Saturn by the Moon from dark skies at Copper Breaks State Park in North Texas. I used stacked video frames obtained from a PC-155C color video security camera coupled with a 2x apocromatic barlow through a Meade ETX-90 for the detail exposures of the Moon (Saturn way underexposed). The Saturn exposures were taken with a Sony Mavica digital camera, eyepiece projection through a 19mm Televue Panoptic through a Meade LX-90, using the cameras 4x zoom (Moon way over exposed). The independant exposures were stacked with AstroArt, and then combined and processed with Adobe Photoshop Elements.
