This is a full-sized view of a photocopy of the receipt given to us by the ELF captain at the conclusion of the incident at Quhaito, written on a page torn from a notebook that was stamped at the bottom with the same emblem that adorned their flag and the name of the organization in English, Tigrinya and Arabic, the three official languages of Eritrea before it was absorbed by Ethiopia. The captain kept a carbon copy of the receipt in the notebook. At the request of their captain, our leader Ted Sullinger wrote a reply beneath the Tigrinya text of the receipt. I have kept this photocopy since our return to Asmara at the end of the trip; the original has been lost. Below is the text in translation, and below that is Ted's reply:
