Southern Maryland Christian won by more than 20. They were too quick and athletic for Flowers. Senior guards,Rashad Mintz and Rickey Branham were too quick, their big men Seniors Robert Pressley and Jerome Carmen were too active, they both finished nasty dunks on breaks while Flowers big men were trying to get up the court. Also Senior Maurice Douglass played a big game for SM. Too bad Friendly was not playing, would have been a much better game. The championship was the other day when SM beat Mcnamara in the semis. The board games top four teams did have a good summer, McNamara, Gonzaga, SMCA, Friendly, and also add Northwestern, Montrose, O'Connell, Paul VI, Dematha, and National Christian, you may have the pre-season top ten(no particular order).
