BT's Remote Control, fishing and surfing web pages
Welcome to my web site. I find that wherever I go....... there I am. Now, so are you.
Musings

I really don't have much to say, I just need the typing practice. Well it's summer for sure here now in Florida. With the humidity and the temperature hovering around the 90's most folks are looking to stay indoors (even more than usual!). The afternoons are a little cooler after the rains, but you have to make sure that all the lightening has stopped before you go out and start waving a 7' graphite fishing pole around, if you know what I mean. Surfing is great, when you can get it. Although the warm waters make for some great sessions, even early in the morning, summertime is notoriously flat here in Florida. Later in August or September we may get some nice swells from tropical storms or hurricanes, but considering the last few years (we've been a bullseye for three bad 'canes) it's hard to wish for a storm to develop. Still, I don't think wishing for or against them really helps much. Just dealing with them as they come is about all you can do. Fishing has really slowed, but as fishermen do, there is always that optimism for finding the right spot, conditions and lure to slay a few bigguns'. Maybe now I'll have that extra time to update my web pages :).
This here is Buckethead. The best guitar player you've probably never heard about. His stuff is a little off the wall, but what would you expect from a 6' 6" guy that wears a hooded jumpsuit, a white mask and a KFC bucket on his head? All I know is he can really play that guitar and I love his unusual compositions (well, most of them). Check him out on YouTube.com.
Enjoying some liquid shade.
Here is a nice little wave at one of my favorite spots, North Jetty, second peak.

Surfboard: $500. Baggies: $40. Wax: $1. The feeling you get from a good tube ride: PRICELESS!
The biggest one (so far!) for '08.Of couse I released this one unharmed, hopefully to be caught another day (and maybe a little bigger!).
Thanks Bertha!
Hurricane Bertha hung out with us for some time (in fact I was watching the weather report and it mentioned that She had set a record for longevity) and brought much pleasure and little pain. It's not often a woman is capable of that, but I digress. We began to recieve swells on Friday the 11th, and there were still some nice waist high longboard stuff on Tuesday the 15th. Even the weather cooperated with plenty of light offshore winds to complement the moderate 2-5 feet swells over the five day period. I rode the longboard the whole time and by Tuesday morning I was ready for a little time off............................but hopefully, not too much!
