Andy & Marge's Streetrod

1935 Ford 5/Window Coupe

This is my wife and I at Kalamazoo when our car was the Michigan Rep's Pick. This was a very happy day for us, as we had not anticipated being picked. We were just parked out there for the fun and conversing with other Streetrodders. That is the main reason we attend the shows. There are so many great people out there. StreetRodders have to be the most friendly people on the roads. We attend Kalamazoo every year with members from our club, the Midland Street Association Car Club and have a great time year after year.

My next project

Now that the '35 is done [are they ever really ?], I am looking forward to building another car. Have not yet decided what it will be, but there are so many good prospects out there. I enjoy myself most, when I am building.

Other Cars

I had built a '23 T-Bucket and we had fun in it for a lot of years. But an open car and very little storage space proved to be a handicap. Trying to attend out of state shows was difficult. We were in Louisville the year of the big flood and believe me, a T-Bucket is not what you want to be in on the highway when it is raining cats and dogs. We had quite a wet trip back to the motel. It was after that, that I really started thinking about a closed in car. I finally found this 1935 Ford 5/widnow coupe and thought it would make a great streetrod. That was the beginning of a 3 year project. Visit one of my other web pages to see what I started with, before the above was finished.
