The Festival of Ridvan is the Baha'i commemoration of the twelve day period in 1863 when Baha'u'llah, the Prophet-Founder of the Baha'i Faith, declared that He was God's Messenger for this age. Baha'i elections to select the administrative institutions on the local, national and international level are also held during the Twelve Days of Ridvan.
