RANTEPAO, THE "TOURIST CAPITAL"

Rantepao with its 12 star-rated hotels and many guesthouses is the center of tourism in Tana Toraja on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. Most tourist attractions are located within a radius of 20 kilometers around the town. The photo taken from the Shopping Center shows the center of town looking down Jln. A. Yani in the direction of Makassar, the island's capital located at a distance of 330 kilometers to the south.
