About Our Baby
We are the proud parents of a little boy named Nathan. He was born on April's fools day.
Nathan has a rare genetic disorder called galactosemia. He cannot convert galactose (a sugar from lactose) to glucose. The disease has made him sick, but he is now fine.
The picture above taken on 8/23/99 shows Nathan holding and chewing his favorite purple teether.

His favorite toys
Nathan likes his soft bunny Kaloo. He likes sleeping with Kaloo and he chews on its small ears because he is teething. He laughs at the rattle Happy Face, which has bright colors,a nose that squeaks, and a big smile.
But the most fun toy of all is his left thumb. He found it on 7/24/99. Before this he would put all of his fingers in his mouth. A thumb in the mouth usually means 'I need some quiet time', 'I am sleepy', or 'I am hungry'.

His Favorite Activities
He likes listening to Mommy whe she reads him stories.
He plays in his new Graco Entertainer with its neat activities.
He likes watching himself in a mirror when Daddy holds him in front of it.
He laughs when he sees our pet dogs waving their tails and attempting to leak his face, feet and hands.
He touches his feet and grabs his toes on the changing table. When he has socks on, he tries to pull them off.
If he could, everything would go in his mouth. He grabs everything, including necklaces, hair, and glasses.
He does roll over timidly, but does not like it so much.
He likes lokking at the Teletubbies on TV and he watches football with his Daddy on Sundays.
