Carefully Engineered British White Cattle

|
After breeding quality Canines for over three decades we decided to try our hand at Bovines as well. We thought we may have bit off more than we could chew, but are learning the ropes, and despite being greenhorns we got lucky and managed to procure a very nice British White bull, because of this bull "TX-Dublin", the beginnings of a pretty impressive herd are evident. We chose this breed for several reasons. Because we were novices at handling and breeding cattle, we wanted something that would be easy to work with. British Whites are docile, calm and intelligent, which have made them easily managed and quite forgiving of our learning process. They are beautiful to look at, a herd of British Whites are a sight to see! There are few surprises, the end product is predictable, genetic uniformity, superior beef, superior maternal instincts, and calving ease. We chose well, and are enjoying our British Whites!
Here are some pictures from our first crops of British White Cattle. Can you tell the purebreds from the halfbreds? Bet you can't! This shows the dominance of British White genetics over several different breeds of cattle, from beef cattle to dairy breeds.
A purebred BW bull can offer all the improvements listed above, and at this time, offspring from non BW's can be registered in the British White grading up program, see the British White Cattle Association of America for information on the grading up program, and more information on British White Cattle.
All our British Whites are registered with the BWCAA. If you see something of interest, you can contact Larry or Janet Woods at (972) 843-2257 or email us at:
