Before I begin my introduction I'd like to remind everyone that with the Internet, one can paint a very pretty picture. In order to really know any breeder I highly recommend visiting their home. We are very proud of our dogs and offer an open invitation to anyone wishing to purchase a puppy, or just visit and discuss dogs.
The quality and intregrity of the dogs bred at Tattersall Kennels has been carefully preserved over the years. We breed for all the "right" reasons. Conformation, temperament, genetic health, and exceptional working ability has been our main objectives. All our breeding animals are tested for genetic anomalies associated within the breed. We have been involved in several different fields with our dogs. We have titled our dogs in obedience, SchH, and conformation. Our dogs temperaments are such that they will conform to any field you may choose. Most important, our dogs are loving, and devoted family members. Each and every dog in our kennel is very special to us. And every puppy or dog that leaves our kennel is just as special. We try hard to keep in touch with new owners, and give help and advise in training decisions, breeding decisions, or any questions that come up, no matter what. Because they have gone to new homes, does not mean they have been forgotten. Those purchasing a dog from our kennel, or any reputable kennel for that matter, should be prepared for some very intense screening. We know you want the best possible dog for your home and in turn we want the best possible home for our dogs. All dogs leaving our kennel leave with a written Contract/Agreement. All our dogs are honestly evaluated, and we fairly support both our evaluations and our Contract/Agreements. And, should the need arise, all dogs are welcome back...no matter the circumstance.
While we no longer compete with our dogs, we still breed occasional litters to maintain our own doberman family. We have become attached to certain qualities and characteristics in our line that we want to see continued. To just purchase dogs elsewhere, we risk losing those qualities that have become dear to us. This may have little importance to anyone else, but is very important to us. We enjoy the fruits of our efforts daily with our own dogs, and with the letters of praise from our extended family of puppy owners.
These pages are a log of our Doberman Family. Enjoy!
ABOUT OUR DOBERMANS
Our Dobermans are direct decendants of our foundation bitch, Robra's Gemelli of Tolivar. "Kiki" as she was called was everything a good Doberman should be. She was beautiful to look at, had a wonderful temperament, and lived to a ripe old age of 13 yrs. Kiki was gentle and tolerant with our small children, yet was an excellent watch dog. She was quick and eager to learn, therefore a pleasure to work with. She had the ability to assess a situation and take appropriate action. We have been extremely selective of the stud dogs chosen to continue this line, and Kiki's qualities can still be seen in our puppies today. In addition to our American Dobermans we also have Dobermans of European lineage. For information and breed standard of the Doberman, see our links to The Doberman Pinscher Club of America, or the United Doberman Club.
