Becky Otwell is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor practicing psychotherapy in Springfield, Illinois and specializing in treatment of depression, anxiety, stress, difficult adjustments and relationship difficulties for adolescents, adults and couples.
Becky has a wide range of experience having worked with individuals with varying levels of emotional stress, interpersonal difficulties and psychiatric illness. She also has experience as a nurse and parent educator.
Since Becky began working in the human service field in the mid 1980's, she has treated a varied clientele including victims of trauma, individuals coping with a variety of difficult adjustments in their lives, as well as individuals interested in exploring their inner potential. Prior to going into private practice, Becky coordinated a highly successful program that holistically addressed depression, anxiety, stressful adjustments, and stress-related disorders in a partial hospitalization program.
Becky believes in helping individuals find solutions to their difficulties in the most efficient way possible and uses a variety of therapy modalities including solution-focused and cognitive behavioral therapy.
