Anna was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. She had her spine closed and a vp shunt placed at 1 day old at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She spent 12 days in the hospital before we could bring her home. At the age of 1 she developed seizures and occasionally has them still but is on medicine. Need more info? Check out www.sbaa.org

On July 6th, 2003, in the Bend Bulletin Newspaper there was an article about the Handicapped Accessible All Children's Playground that is going to be built in central Oregon. The article mentions Anna & Diane as the ones who have been trying to have the project built for a few years.
