Meets at the North
Museum, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
The regular meetings of the Lancaster Butterfly Club are held
on the first Monday of every month from March through October (except the
September meeting which is on the second Monday) on the second floor of
the North Museum, Franklin
& Marshall College on the corner of College Avenue and Buchanan
Avenue, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The meetings run from 7:00 to 9:00
P.M. Everyone is invited to any meeting. Please
use the rear entrance and bring a friend.

Most meetings include a lecture, discussion, and show-and-tell of books,
bugs, or photos. Members and friends are invited to field trips and Fourth
of July Butterfly Counts throughout the season. The
purpose of the club is to study butterflies and other insects and share
knowledge and experiences. Learn what can be found in this area and catch
the enthusiasm.
Membership is open to those of the public interested in butterflies,
insects, and nature. Dues are $10/year.

"Neversink Mountain Butterfly Walk" in
Reading, PA. This walk is cosponsored by the Mengel
Natural History Society and the Baird
Ornithological Club of Reading. Meet at south 10th St. and South St.
in Reading and park on South St. Everyone is welcome. We usually see 10-15
species including Elfins, Falcate Orangetip, Cobweb Skipper, and several

The North
Museum will have it's annual insect weekend.
This year will be buggier than ever! Enjoy programs on native bees, sericulture,
insect sounds, and the ever-popular Mothman. Displays and demonstrations
both days will include aquatic insects, butterflies, forest entomology,
and a live observation beehive - plus - Cockroach Races, Beetle Tractor
Pulls, Cricket Spitting, and much more! This year, a food vendor will be
available, so have lunch here and make a day of it. For more information
