Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practical Catholic men in union with the Holy See who are at least 18 years old. A practical Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of the God and the Precepts of the Church.

The local council, Our Lady of Fatima Council, has 127 member families and owns a council hall at 157 Gano Street, Providence. Member meetings are once monthly. We average two social events a month. There is a $22 yearly membership fee, and a $10 initiation fee. Besides the social and fraternal benefits, members and their families are eligible for lost cost life insurance.

A Ladies Auxiliary exists for those Catholic women who wish to assist the organization.

Participation in state K of C activities is also encourged.

The Council Hall is also available for rental by calling
Dr. Dan Harrop at 439-7622. Rates are $175 for six hours of use of the hall which seats 200.

The Council meets the first and third Wednesday of each month (except during the summer) at 7:30pm. Some of these meetings are open to the public and
applicants for membership.
