Through The Liquid Eye Excerpts
Encounters by Virginia Foster

Quickly, the team dodged around the tall standing stones to the opposite side of the smaller clearing containing the stones.  As the group reached the trees once more, a shot from the pursuing Jaffa struck a tall stone statue that guarded the area.  The top half of the stone exploded into a shower of rocks that rained down on the members of SG1.  No one saw the chunk of stone that caught Daniel on the side of   his head as he tried to dodge.  He fell without a sound and didn't move.

How The Mighty by Carrie

"Colonel, Daniel's not answering his phone!"  Sam was panicking and she knew it, but she couldn't keep herself from being frantic.  She stood up, ignoring the vertigo the motion caused.  Pacing, she vocalized her fears, "I think there's something wrong.  He usually picks up after a couple of tries, and he didn't."
"Carter, calm down.  I'll call a cab and swing by your place.  We'll go check on him, even though I'm sure he's fine."  The colonel sounded as though he were trying to assure himself as well as her, gruff but agitated.
"Okay.  I'll be waiting," Sam whispered.
An intense cold weaved its way through her veins, shadows chasing away the light.  Sweat erupted on her forehead and upper lip, coming from out of nowhere and she was distinctly nauseous.  Now was not a good time to pass out.  Not at all.  Through the gray fuzz blocking her eyes, she tried to find a place to sit down.  Limbs shaking like saplings in a tornado, she clicked off her phone and awkwardly tried to set it down.
It never reached its cradle, slipping from numb fingers.  Sam vaguely heard the cordless phone clatter onto the ground, and then she followed it down.

Understanding by Marcia Brin

Daniel felt a surge of panic.  "You can't!  I mean, we haven't done anything wrong.  If we trespassed, it was by mistake!  My friends and I--."
"Friends, Dr. Jackson?  And just who might they be?"  Jack's voice was heavy with sarcasm.
The archaeologist turned to see the rest of SG-1 standing by one of the exits to the room.  They were dressed in full mission gear, including their weapons.  No one was guarding them.  In fact, it was quite clear that they were not prisoners at all.
"Jack?" Daniel asked in confusion.  "What's going on?"
"What's going on, Daniel, is that you're getting that transfer you seem to want so much."
