Welcome to the "Appealing Belles of Novi Michigan" Chapter of the Red Hat Society.
We are a new chapter just getting started.
This is a chapter that likes to go places and do things. We would like to plan some overnight or weekend adventures so be prepared for that when joining. We currently try to have at least one outing a month and try to have it on the weekends so those who work or baby sit grandkids can join in on the fun.   Queen Mother, Beverly McCarter.  
Our next official outing with be FEBRUARY 28th.2004 at the Sweet Afton Tea Room at 405 Forest Ave Plymouth. We will be having HIGH TEA at 2 pm. The cost is $16.06 pre person and includes tip and gratuity. The menu is 2 slices of Quiche, 4 Tea Sandwiches (triangles), 2 Scones with cream, 2 mini tarts and beverage.  I need a count by the second week in Feb to confirm reservations.
On Saturday March the 27th we are going to Turkeyville for lunch and a show. The lunch starts at noon and the show (Swingtime Cafe) starts at 2 pm. The cost is $34.00 I will need a head count by March 19th. Come early or stay late and enjoy shopping at the cute shops in Turkeyville. The lunch menu will be turkey (what else?)
Some upcoming Events
The Red Hat Hotties of Oakland County are hostingtheir 2nd Annual "Spring Break" on April 1st, 2004, atthe Petruzzello Banquet facility in Troy, MI, from 10
AM to 4 PM.  All Red Hat Chapters in Michigan areinvited.  The cost, including lunch, is $40.This year we have twice as much room, for twice asmany Red Hatters, and twice as much fun!!! Again,we will have both professional and amateur entertainment, interesting guest speakers, Vendortables, Games, Prizes, & much more, including sidetrips to local casinos & unique shopping centers.
For those staying overnite - we've obtained a special rate of $85 a nite at Embassy Suites Hotel, 850 Tower Drive, Troy, MI.  Accommodations for two (2) adults
include a complimentary cook-to-order breakfast &evening cocktails, King sized bed, Queen sized sleepsofa, indoor whirlpool & sauna.  Two (2) additional adults can also stay for $15 each.  Mention that Petruzzello's referred you for this special rate when
you call (248) 879-6772 for reservations.
This year we will also be having a "Talent Show", (with $100's in cash prizes).  Call Duchess Janet if you'd like to book an approx. 5 minute performance.  (248) 879-0633). Tables will be assigned on a "first come" basis.
Only the following information is required & it's not necessary for all members of a Chapter to register at the same time to sit together:                                                  
1.  The name & address of each attendee, as well as
their Chapter name. 2. Your meal selection - Chicken Kiev or Pork
Tenderloin.  Each will come with Beverage, Garden
Fresh Salad, Potato, Vegetable, and of course,
Dessert!

close on March 24th, 2004 & cancellations will be
accepted until that date.

Cost/Payment
The cost for the Saturday Fun Fest is $50.00 per person. Reservations will be taken until July 30, 2004, or until full. One payment per chapter please. If cancellation before Fri., August 6, 2004, money will be refunded. Checks are payable to Lucille Bicknell, 1309 Airfield, Midland, MI 48642. Please list chapter name, menu choice and name, address and phone number of participants. See reverse for more details on accommodations. Luncheon Menu

All meals include:
Fresh mixed field greens salad with cucumbers, Roma tomatoes, ranch dressing and herb vinaigrette. Garlic mashed potatoes, broccollini and carrots. Fresh baked rolls and butter. Pastry Chef’s assorted dessert display with low and no sugar treats plus traditional.
Regular and decaffeinated coffee, herbal tea, and iced tea.

Interested vendors with Red Hat merchandise should call Lucille Bicknell (listed above) for information on space and availability. $20.00/six foot table for Red Hat member, $25.00 for non-member.
Accomodations
Reservations: (calls for reservations are not accepted) The enclosed reservation form for hotel rooms needs to be completed and returned with one night’s deposit. (I have this form)• Single or double occupancy (2 queen beds) $139.00/night
• Extra persons up to 4 in a room are each at $10.00/night
A special block of rooms at this rate has been set aside until 8/6/04 by which time the attached hotel reservation form must be completed and returned with one night’s deposit.
