These two pictures were taken while on a trip to India in January of 2000. First, I am in a Sitar shop in Agra, U.P., home of the Taj Mahal, testing sitars.  About 10 days later I am playing on the beach at Kovalam, Kerala located near Cape Cormorin, the southern tip of the sub-continent.
Playing with the bandleader "Joy," we are doing "Baila" versions of pop hits for tourists and local Mayalayai music fans.
