M68 is a 7.3 magnitude globular cluster in Hydra. You might begin your hop at Kraz, Beta Corvi. This 2.7 magnitude star sits in the southeastern corner of the crow some 3.5 degrees north-northwest of M68. This globular is impressive at 129X in the Starfinder Newtonian. The 9' diameter cluster displays brightening near the center with several 12th and 13th magnitude stars resolved. M68 is flanked by two 9th magnitude stars to the southeast and a lone 9th magnitude star to the northwest. |
