This 10.0 magnitude galaxy resides in southern Virgo. The sketch at left is based on an 82X view in the 10-inch Newtonian. NGC 4753 appears as a 4'x2', east-west aligned oval flanked to the north and southwest by a pair of 13th magnitude GSC stars. The bright stellar pair to the east shine at 10th magnitude. 2.7 magnitude Porrima, Gamma (29) Virginis, is located 2.7 degrees due west of NGC 4753. |
