MY FAVOURITES
There are so many excellent web sites for birding nowadays, that choosing only a few is a difficult process; however, here are a few that I personally like to visit, or that I think other birders may find a source of interest or information (some of these provide outstanding links to a myriad of other fascinating venues):
**********************************************************************************
An extensive listing of mnemonics and phonetics for North American birds, which provide "hooks" for remembering those elusive bird songs.  A great collection!
Everything you would want to know about birding in Canada, including chat rooms, RBA's, books, clubs, provincial breakdowns etc
Doug Von Gausig's site has an abundance of information on bird and nature sounds, as well as information on equipment for nature recording and links to many related sites.
A wealth of information about the recording lab and its many programs
This site allows you to "go on" trips to various birding areas and hone your skills (visual and auditory).  Many other interesting features and links.
An amazing collection of links, well organized and presented
As it sounds, a site which offers information on birding the world. Reports, trips, rare sightings, many links and more.
A nice presentation of the local, regional, national and international programs of this important organization, as well as a very useful link "Bird Links To The World".
One of those sites that has seemingly endless links, covering just about any birding topic.
More interesting stuff and great links.
A site dedicated to the owls of North America, with information about descriptions, natural history and sound samples, as well as links to related sites
