The Car
The car is a 1972 Pinto runabout with original paint. I started this project about a year ago and have spent a lot of time and $$ on it. The idea was to make a real street\strip car out of something you dont usualy see on the road.

The Engine
The Car originally came with a 2.0L 4 speed and a 7" rear end. After I junked that I stuffed in a 1984 SVO turbo engine and T5 trans with a 8" rear end out of a 1978 Mustang II. I Modified the Engine with a Ranger roller cam, adjustable cam pully, Large custom Innercooler, 3" exhaust and a few other minor goodies. The car ran a best time of 13.10 @ 105 in the 1/4 mi.

The Latest stuff
The last run on the SVO engine gave me a nice hole in the side of the block and The #1 rod was shortened by about 3".......oh well, time to build a new one. The New engine is a 2.5 L stroked motor using a 1998 ranger 2.5 crank, 94 Ranger block preped for turbo use and Oringed, Crower Billit 5.7 rods, JE pistons, Aluminum head, 580lx 234d roller cam, ported E6 exhaust manifold, Ported 86 SVO lower and modular V8 upper manifold with a 65mm TB and 42 lb injectors.
The car now has a 8 point roll bar and subframe connectors, BFG Drag Radials and Autolight guages.

The newest stuff, I just installed a 5115 NOS kit and have been tuning the car to work with the juice. The first trip to the track I ran a 11.80 @ 115 mph with a bad miss and lifted at 3/4 track. The miss was the # 1 plug melting. I now have a biger fuel pump and have flowed the injectors ( all flow at 45 lbs). I hope to tune it on a dyno to " look" for a lean condition before I melt a piston. I will also try out my new goodyear slicks and custom traction controll device ( pictures to follow)
