August 30, 2003 - The August 30th issue of TV Guide is the NFL preview guide, and features tons of football stuff to get us all in the mood. Included are predictions for the best games of the season by Troy (FOX), John Madden (ABC), Phil Simms (CBS) and Joe Theismann (ESPN). Look for Warren Sapp and Rich Gannon on the cover.

August 28, 2003 - The Dallas Cowboys held their annual Kickoff Luncheon today, which includes an awards ceremony. Troy was there and presented his former tightend Jay Novacek with the Tom Landry Legends Award.

August 24, 2003 - Happy 2nd birthday to Miss Jordan Ashley Aikman!

August 21, 2003 - Troy, Joe and Cris will be calling tonight's preseason game between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers. Coverage begins at 8:00 p.m. eastern on FOX.

August 14, 2003 - Troy and his partners will call the nationally televised preseason game between the 2002 AFC champion Oakland Raiders and the NFC West Division champion San Francisco 49ers. Coverage begins at 8:00 p.m. eastern on FOX.

July 27, 2003 - Troy will be at the Autograph Pavilion of the 24th National Sports Collectors Convention today from 1:00-3:00. The show is at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, July 24-27. July 24, 2003 - Troy visited the EA Sports Elite 11 Quarterback Camp at Rancho Capistrano, California, this morning. The camp is where the nation's top 11 high school quarterbacks (plus a 12th man) compete in football drills. Troy advised them to focus on making accurate, catchable passes, not on throwing "lasers."

July 20, 2003 - Troy had a tremendous third round at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe. He shot a 75, to add 16 points to score. His score of +30 earned him 32nd place for the tournament. Rick Rhoden (+75) overtook Jack Wagner (+71) today to win his sixth American Century Championship. Troy was partnered today with NBA All-Star guard Ray Allen and actor Dennis Quaid.

July 19, 2003 - In the second round of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe today, Troy shot an 83, giving him a score of +14 for the tournament. He is tied for 40th place. Troy was partnered today with Jerry Rice and Michael Jordan. Television coverage was provided by NBC. Actor Jack Wagner and former NFL quarterback Steve Bartkowski are tied for first at +51.

July 18, 2003 - In the first round of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe today, Troy was grouped with actors Dennis Quaid and Bruce McGill. Troy shot an 82, which translates into a +8 in the "Modified Stableford Format" scoring system being used in the tournament (double eagle 10 points; hole in one 8 points; eagle 6 points; birdie 3 points; par 1 point; bogie 0 points; and double bogie -2 points). In this system, the higher the score the better. After Round One, Steve Bartkowski is the leader at +27. July 17, 2003 - Troy will join Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban in the Aspen Lounge at the Horizon Casino Resort at Lake Tahoe to sign autographs. The event is part of the activities associated with the American Century Championship. It begins at 4:30 p.m., and benefits the Fallen Patriot Fund for families of soldiers who lost their lives in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Autographs will cost a minimum $20 donation.

July 7, 2003 - Dallas Morning News writer Terry Blount reports that according to Bill Saunders, the managing partner of the Hall of Fame Racing, Troy and Roger Staubach's team probably will compete in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2004 rather than the Cup. When Troy and Roger announced the formation of their racing team last January, they said they planned to race Winston Cup in 2004. However, according to Saunders, they have not been able to secure the necessary sponsorship dollars yet to race in the Cup.

June 27, 2003 - Troy was among the many celebrities who attended the opening of the newest FOX Sports Grill - this one in Irvine, California. It was a glitzy opening, and guests walked the red carpet. "This is only the second red carpet I've ever walked," Troy was quoted as saying somewhat uncomfortably. "I'm not walking a lot of red carpets, believe me."

May 20, 2003 - Dallas Morning News columnist Steve Davis reports that Troy was among the crowd at the SBC Center in San Antonio last night when the Dallas Mavericks beat the San Antonio Spurs 113-110 in game one of the NBA Western Conference Finals. Go Mavs!

May 18, 2003 - Star-Telegram columnist Richie Whitt reports that Troy was in the stands at the American Airlines Center in Dallas last night to watch the Dallas Mavericks dominate the Sacramento Kings 112-99 in game 7 of the NBA Western Conference semifinals.

May 9, 2003 - The Sporting News announced that Troy has inked a two-year deal with The Sporting News to host a weekly football radio show and contribute to the The Sporting News magazine. The one-hour "Troy Aikman Football Show" starts September 4th on Sporting News Radio. It will air Thursdays at 5 p.m. eastern, and continue through Super Bowl XXXVIII. Troy will also contribute a column to The Sporting News magazine. [Don't worry football fans - Troy is still with FOX's #1 NFL broadcast team!]

May 3, 2003 - Troy was one of the many celebrities attending the 129th Kentucky Derby www.kentuckyderby.com/2003/. The Dallas Morning News reports that this was his first Derby, and according to Troy, he went to keep a promise he made to step-daughter Rachel last year to bring her. Rachel LOVES horses. Troy picked Atswhatimtalknbout (which came in 4th), and Rachel picked Empire Maker (which came in 2nd).

April 29, 2003 - The annual "Beyond the Rainbow" Luncheon and Fashion Show benefiting the Children's Cancer Fund was held today at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Once again, Troy and Roger Staubach were co-chairs. The purpose of the Children’s Cancer Fund is to raise funds to find the causes and cures for childhood cancers by funding treatment and basic scientific and clinical research at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

April 24, 2003 - Troy was one of the celebs scheduled to be at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie this evening to attend the Stars of Texas event benefiting the American Diabetes Association.
