1.  Purse Class:  the Marcou Wallet
Take two of your favorite fabrics, add some quick quilting, then with a couple of additions, you’ll have a wallet with three compartments!  The face of this sweet purse is perfect to embroider with all your loved ones’ initials or favorite motif and add some of Dawn’s sparkles for one of a kind wallet.   We will show you basic quilting and assembly tricks. Class 1  PE Design Classes are Hands On – For those bringing laptop computers, please have the software installed on the computer and the security device for the software with you in class.  
Please check that the software will run correctly before class so that there are no delays.

Class 2.    PE Design Version 6-7.0 - Digitizing      Basics to Intermediate Techniques
 This class will cover how to work with Design Center’s unique features and how to work with the digitizing tools in Layout and editing.
Learn how to control all the settings in both sides of the program so that you can create professional looking design no matter what portion of the program you use.
At the end of this class, we will have created a finished design to take home and embroider.

We will also cover Cross Stitch, Photo and Creating Fills if time allows.

Class 1 Computer Basics For Windows & The Internet?   by Cindy Allen            Hands  ON
Class Description:  If are questions about using your computer this class is for you. Cindy's aim is to help you become comfortable with basic computer functions, so you can use your embroidery software to it's fullest potential. Come with your questions, as this class will have a question & answer period and will be customized as much as possible to the skill levels of the participants.  If you own a laptop, bring it with you to class. If you don't own a laptop, come anyway and feel free to sit back and learn without the hands-on aspect.  If you'd like class notes, please bring a 3.5" floppy disk and I'll trade you a disk with notes for a blank disk

A new operating system, Windows Vista is being installed on new computers.   What does Vista do that Window's XP won't do.   Which of our programs will work on Vista and which won't.  Bring your questions and experiences with you to class and lets look at the pros and cons so we can make an informed decision on whether or when to upgrade.

Class 1:  SPRAY DYE A SWEATSHIRT!                         By Cindy Losekamp
We’ll use ferns and flowers as the embellishments to create the resist and then we will add the colors you want to use for a one of a kind masterpiece.  No two will ever be alike.  Use a tone on tone effect or mix your colors for a seasonal look.  I have decided to purchase
the shirts for you so that we can take them all to the laundry and wash them and bring them to class fresh and ready to dye.  These are high quality shirts that don’t pill or stretch out of shape.  I need you to pre-order if you plan on taking the class.  I will have some extras for purchase but you may not get your size if you don?t pre-order.  Shirts are $15.00 and the kit fee is $5.00.  After your shirt is dry, you can add your favorite embroideries.  How about some crystals from Dawn?!  
PS...Be sure to wear your "play" clothes!  :o)

Class 2:  SOMETIMES...WOULDN'T YOU JUST LOVE TO DYE?            by Cindy Losekamp
Let?s play with color...all kinds of dying demonstrated in this class.  Use common household products that aren’t deadly to breath in.   We’ll dye a background for embroidery...dye silk with common household products...discharge dye fabric for texture...buy a ready made garment and dye it like a hand painted original, dye lace with rayon dye and more!  Spray, sprinkle and spritz your way to beautiful pieces of cloth you can add to any quilt or patchwork project in the future
Everything is furnished with the kit fee of $15.00.  
Be sure to wear play clothes.  
  
We have limited space so if you are interested, please let me know if you might like to take this class so I will be prepared with enough supplies for everyone.  I will offer this at least once...with more times added to accommodate as many as I can.

Are you tired of working and working to hoop better and you still have problems lining things up?   No matter if you have been hooping successfully for a long time, this will make it even easier.  This is a hands on class.  Bring two hoops and a garment – that’s it!  Cindy will provide the rest in the small kit fee of $7.00.

Class 4:  MOUSEPAD MEMORIES                                By Cindy Losekamp
Keep your family near to you with special pictures on your mousepad.  Cindy will help you create a very precious keepsake in a very short period of time you will actually make a mouse pad that you can take home with you.  This makes an inexpensive gift for all your friends and family.  Learn about importing, sizing and using those endearing family photos.  Your class comes with instructions and all the supplies you will need to complete one mouse pad.  If you enjoy what your have done and you want to make some others we will have more supplies to purchase in the booth.  Kit fee is $15.00
*PLEASE NOTE* Due to the time frame, you need to bring your photos to me by Monday night on a CD or bring the actual photos and I can scan them for you or even send them to me by email before IEC.  I will get them ready for use and then in class, anything we do, will be shown on the monitor so you can see how and what I do to make them usable for our project.
