Start making your plans now to join us for our 10th Anniversary of this Conference on July 30 - Aug 2.
Southeast Sewing from Atlanta will be providing Brother machines for classes at IEC including the 6needle PR600 and QC1000 sewing/quilting machines. We have some excellent hands on classes planned for you.
The Indiana Embroidery Conference (IEC) has been in operation longer than any other Convention for the home embroidery enthusists of its type. We're the only Conference of our kind to claim 10 years of success. Many other conventions have come and failed since we started having these educational events 11 years ago for the people who had purchased the embroidery mahcines and software but didn't have any support on how to learn to use it. Being able to survive the tidal wave for this long should say something for our event.
IEC is geared toward the home embroidery machine owners with classes for embroidery digitizing software plus other classes for sewing/quilting, painting on fabric, stabilizer, and many miscellaneous classes are thrown in to provide you with a wide selection of choices for you to make your own personal daily program schedule once you arrive at the Convention. An added bonus is the one on one help for anyone needing some tender loving care and the demonstrations and classes for those wishing to expand to the multi needle embroidery machines and start their own business.
In addition to the many classes to choose from, we have a charity project we enjoy doing each year. For our "Operation Hugs" project, we make baby crib size quilts then we present them to the local military during the conference to be given to our military families who have new babies born during the year.
Some people who cannot attend IEC for one reason or another but would like to contribute to this project will either mail a quilt or send one with a friend who is attending. This gives us a way to show our military people we appreciate what they do for us while at the same time showing off a lot of talent.
Applications are now being accepted to register and attend. Simply send an email to Bobrien90@aol.com to get your application. You MUST include your first AND last name with your request. Your city and state are helpful too but not required with the request.

You don't digitize? No Problem we have classes for you. Even if you are among our many friends who do not digitize or don't ever want to digitize, we have an excellent selection of classes you will want to attend that does not involve digitizing.
In addition to the various software digitizing classes for our machines, we'll offer other classes such as Basic Computer skills if you are new to computers or simply need to brush up your skill or might not be sure how to use you computer with your embroidery software this class is for you.
We'll have classes for Stabilizers, Quilting, Home Dec, Garment Embellishment, Adding Sparkles for that special touch, Painting your fabric for embroidery embellishment, Bead jewelry making and trunk shows to inspire us with idea's to enhance and make our embroidery/sewing projects more professional and oh so many more you won't have a problem finding something for you.
If you can't find enough to keep you busy then you might like to drop by the teachers/vendors booths for some one on one digitizing help. Nita O'Keefe, Holly Pike, Becky J O'Neil, Allene Snow and others will be set up with space allowed for that one on one help someone might need to get themselves over a hump during this event.
Don't hesitate to come alone if you must. Once you arrive at the Conference you will be greeted and feeling like family before the day is over. You definitely will leave excited to start trying some of these idea's you didn't have when you arrived.
Susan's Garage Sale at IEC is the only place Susan offers her once a year 1st quality linens for Garage Prices. You won't want to miss her sale which will be Monday afternoon, July 30 and it is open to the Public.
Shopping with the Vendors in Vendor Mall is NOT open to the public and is not an option unless you are a registered attendee.
By checking back here where information will be posted when it becomes available you can keep up to date. Those of you who plan to attend any of the seminars I co-ordinate through out the year should join us on our Indiana Embroidery Yahoo Group list. Our yahoo group is NOT the usuall chatty group but is a Conference Group for those who are hoping to attend one of the events I host at different times to get information, discuss, ask questions and learn about the event.
