The artwork was created while on the road between January and August of 2003.

This full color detailed map features rivers, mountains and landforms, and thumbnail color sketches of typical landscape views along Route 66.

The colorful poster map doesn't need a frame, for the artwork composition frames itself! Each poster is printed on heavy white stock which is glossy coated, and measures 19"x25". The bold black shield border frames a heart-shaped wreath featuring a floral display of the leaves and blossoms of the official state tree and flower for each of the eight Route 66 states. Also included, are the official state birds for each of the Route 66 states, and brief texts which describe the road's history, as well as the natural history along the route.
