The Origins of ROGUE 5
(Regional Operations Group United States East)
is a military simulation and recball paintball team based in New York City. The team is based  on the fundemental disciplines and structures of the United States Military, and reflects the same ethics, professionalism, spirit and courage. The executive officers of the team are all current service, or prior service members of the United States military, and manage the team as a unit. The team currently consist of five primary members, four reserve members, and approximately six members in training.

Our History:

The 221st Special Operations Group was formed in June of 1997 as a Mil-Sim hobbiest group. The original team consisted of Falcon 163, Bat 21, Wolf 37 and five reserve members. The team conducted various exercises and training trips during its existence and began to attract new members. As the 221st grew, so did its outlook and its focus. Several members of the team started playing the sport of paintball, and began incorporating the sport into the team. After several months, the team began playing on a regular  basis and visiting various fields in the area. It was at this time that the team got the inspiration it needed.

266th Special Operations Group

The 266th Special Operations Group was formed in October of 1998, when Seal 45 joined as a primary member. The purpose of the team was to create a unit which would be focused on field operations, Mil-Sim environments, and on training its' members to utilize their skills for operations. After some expansion, experimentation and reallignment, the unit began to operate as a paintball team and reorganized in January of 1999 as ROGUE 5.
