MARCH -
The first team practice of 2001 was held on Saturday, March 10, 2001 at PAINT BALL LONG ISLAND
The team made a strong show this day, even though several of the veteran officers were AWOL. The team welcomed two new members to the field and into the paintball way of life. Welcome aboard to our new PFC's; Joker 69 (in training) and Pitbull 22 (in training).
The action of the day was rather intense despite the deep piles of snow which covered the field. Bat 21 (sniper officer, team x.o.) managed to score several eliminations on the field from considerable distances without comprimising his position. Pegasus 10 captured the flag in our first round of the day after calmly walking into the enemy's camp, grabbing the flag with several enemy players watching, and then walk right out. While returning to the base to score, she was shot by a fellow teammate (rental player). Wolf 37 made several aggressive pushes while working the flanks and playing in the snow as a secondary sniper.  With Wolf 37 & Bat 21 working the flanks, Pegasus 10 lead the charge down the middle with Pitbull 22 and Joker 69 laying down cover and filling in for support.
The team worked it's way onto several victories for the day, including one total elimination victory against the enemy on the hardest field of the day.
MAY -
BTC 2001-01 was conducted on Friday 05-25-01 thru Sunday 05-27-01 at Ft. Turkey, NY. Training was conducted despite a constant down pour which forced the cancelation of several activities. Between down pours, the team managaed to get two rounds of practice in along with a one on one skirmish between Wolf 37 and Seal 45. Good hunting and stalking by SEAL 45 lead to a victory in this skirmish, which was the final for this course of training. BAT 21 is currently working on a better way to keep the water from pouring into the tent, especially since the paper towls on the roof failed to work. Falcon 163 gets the award for the best dressed in the rain. We are still trying to find the same camo body condoms...      The first round of the training exercises lead to an interesting fire fight between Bat 21, Seal 45, and Wolf 37. SEAL 45 scored elimination of BAT 21, but was later taken out during an agressive advance by WOLF 37 who also scored an elimination of Falcon 163.    All members present have achieved BSS (basic survival skills) Certification.
Get Well wishes to Pegasus 10 who was not able to attend due to medical leave.
Pitbull 22, Joker 69, Raven 20, 17 - Personal Leave - (still on active rouster).
