Hometown Holidazzle - Illuminated Parade & Festival
 Saturday, November 24, 2007

DESCRIPTION:  Downtown Wilmington closes its streets and opens its doors for everyone to see our hometown all lit up, from the twinkling decorations to the thousands of lights decorating the nighttime parade, which will arrive downtown at 7pm. Santa Claus will end the pararde and be available afterward to hear the kids wish lists.  The indoor Children's Carnival, delicious food, craft vendors, and strolling entertainers help bring in the holiday season.

COST:  FREE

DATE & TIME: Saturday, November 24th. Festival starts at 4pm, parade at 7pm. Festival ends at 9pm

LOCATION OF EVENT:  Main Street in Downtown Wilmington, OH 45177
The Murphy Theatre will host
the Merry TubaChristmas at 4:30 pm
and the Clinton County Community Band at 5:45 pm.

 Parade Route:

 Parade starts at the corner of College and Locust Streets and travels west on Locust through downtown Wilmington to Mulberry Street. At Mulberry, the parade will proceed south crossing in front of the General Denver historic hotel to Main Street. The route continues east on Main passing by the historic Murphy Theatre, and eventually past the Clinton County Courthouse traveling on to Walnut Street. At Walnut, the parade heads south to Sugartree Street to its finish point.  Total parade length = .9 miles.
