Bromeliads of Country Manor
Bromeliads of Country Manor

This site illustrates a brief introduction into my favorite family of flora, Bromeliaceae. The bromeliad family includes a wide range of plants from Spanish Moss to the common Pineapple. Most of these plants come from the americas. They grow on rocks, attached to other living plants or in the ground.

Truly, amazing plants.

Welcome to my world of Bromeliads. I have a small group of potted Bromeliads. I keep my plants outdoors from Late March until Late October. Coastal South Carolina's unpredictable winter weather (Zone 8B) is far too cold. Bromeliads require protection from the cold. I winter my plants in my sunroom.  The sunroom is a new addition for 2003. The trick will be to adjust the rooms conditions to meet the bromeliads requirements.
