The Benedictine Fathers of Toledo are a Western Rite, Benedictine Community . A Semi Contemplative/Semi Cloistered Community, following the Rule of St. Benedict.
Our Liturgy/Mass is the Tridentine Rite Liturgy ( English or Latin) commonly called the Liturgy of St. Gregory the Great.

Our Purpose,for existence, is to Seek Out God in all that We meet and all that We do....We follow the Traditional Benedictine motto: " ORA ET LABORA", to Work & Pray.
We are Parish Priests, Chaplains,Teachers and Simple Benedictine Monks...We take the same Vows ,as All Benedictine take:
We start the Day, in Prayer and end it in Prayer... We workoutside the House, to support it... They return in the late afternoon for the Liturgy and Supper and then Recreation followed by the Divine Office and Lectio Divina { in private}...Then Compline , the night prayer of the Church.

We wear the Traditional Habit of the Benedictine Order. A Black Tunic with Belt and a Black Scapular with Capuche.
If you feel that you might have a Vocation as a Benedictine or are Questioning yourself as to whether or not you do have a Vocation to this Life,then contact us. We are a Modern Community and live in normal neighborhoods not big complexes and Minister to the Local Area..the Young and the Elderly. We follow a Modified Rule of St. Benedict. We seek Vocations to this Lifestyle,either as a Monastic Vocation or a Oblate,of this Community.
