The Blue  Ridge Chapter
of the
Embroiderers' Guild  of  America, Inc.
Roanoke, Virginia
What is B R E G A?
The Blue Ridge Chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc. is a part of the Carolinas Region of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc.

The purpose is to foster high standards of excellence in the practice of the art of embroidery and develop an active program of education and study to meet the needs of its members.

BREGA also is about stimulating interest in the community and to hold meetings to exchange ideas about the art of needlework.

BREGA is also about the camaraderie of stitching.  IT'S FUN to sit and stitch with others..to learn something new can be a challenge, but to do it with friends is always more fun; to be consoled when you have to rip out and to do a "Happy Dance" when you have completed a project

Where and when do we meet?
BREGA has two group meetings, 10 AM and 7 PM on the second Wednesday of every month, except December, at Green Ridge Presbyterian Church on 7640 Alpine Rd. in northwest Roanoke off of Peters Creek Rd.and is open to the public. Please note that we have limited physically challenged accessibility.   Choose the meeting that best suits  your schedule.

We begin with our business meeting, followed by our presentation and/or our Stay and Stitch time.  Many of us brown bag it following the morning meeting and stay on for the Beading Group.  This group meets from 1 to 3 PM and usually works on a project or learns a new technique.
