History of the Brick City Fire Department
In the early days people begin settling in the Youghabrick River Valley. A town grew up on both side of the river and was named Lego Valley. The towns people formed a fire department which grew to two pumpers and a ladder truck.
Several years later the town grew big enough to be a city. The city was named for a founding citizen. Washington Fire and Rescue, as it was called, had three fire stations. A township was also growing next to Washington, called South Strabane. They had a volenteer fire department with one white fire truck.
The community leaders got together and decided to merger the city and the township. The name of the new city was in question for some time. But eventually the name Brick City was choosen.
Brick City Fire Department has grown to protect over 96 road plates. It is one of the only lego fire departments to have a city built from legos to protect.
The city is always building.
