What is the USFA?:
The United States Fencing Association is the national governing body for the sport of fencing in the U.S.. It helps organize, program, and develop just about everything related to fencing in the US, from kids to adults fencing, competing, training and tournaments. The headquarters are located in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center.
About USFA Membership:
It's needed to compete in USFA tournaments locally and around the country. You get some benefits, such as the quarterly magazine, access to online info, and insurance when fencing at USFA events, etc...
Should I sign up?
If you haven't already,...always double-check with your coach before you sign up for the USFA to insure proper registration
Note: Coach has paper mail in applications also.

Payment is by credit card only..
A $5 handling fee is added...
Membership Types: These below are used most...
"Senior" membership is for ages 20-40 years old....
"Veteran" membership is for ages 40 years old and above...
"Junior" membership is for 13 to 19 years old...
"Associate" membership is for non-competing people...
You can join for 1 or 3 years...
Note: Online registration is available for individual members 13 and older. (Registration for those 13 is currently restricted per COPPA reg.s, contact the USFA for more info)
Competition club: should be listed as Academy Fencing Club...
(unless you are a Washington University Student, then list Academy as your second)
Note: No Secondary Club listing is needed...
Division: is St. Louis Division
Students section info is for those who are away at school and want to recieve
their USFA mail at school
