These two cannons were on the field for everyone to inspect.

Here is Mathew Brady and his camera.

All these cannon were fired in the reenactment.

From 12 to 62 they manned cannon with this crew.

It takes 25 seconds to load for another shot, while the other cannon hold up the fire.

The Confederate Cavalry brings up the rear.

The doctor's office was a grim gruesome place to be.

General Hickock arrives on the field.

The officers had a nice tent.

Loading the mortar was tricky.

Firing it 1200 yards to the target was very difficult.

A Confederate Regiment was only about 35 men, while the Union Regiment was about 50 men.

This is a panorama of the entire field of the reenactment. The Union army along Cemetary Ridge is on the left with the crowd watching from behind on the hillside. The camera is situated in the grandstands. As you pan to the right, you will see the Emmetsburg road where the Union pickets have just been routed by the advancing Confederate pickets. Pan more to the right and you will see rows and rows of the advancing Confederate Army coming from Seminary Ridge. Their encampment is up in the back behind them.
