Hands~*~Poetry By Loyce

Hands
Hands aren't meant to push and shove
They are meant to hold the hand of the one you love.
To pray to the Father up above
To stroke the feathers of a pure white dove
Hands aren't meant to hit or punch.
They are meant to lovingly prepare a lunch.
To show a child they are loved a bunch
To hand someone a peanut crunch.
Hands aren't meant to show you are bolder
They are meant to touch a weary shoulder
To help someone who is getting older
To be a new born baby holder
So use your hands the way God intended.
Be proud of all the garments you have mended
Reap from the gardens you have tended.
So you can join the Angels when your life has ended.
