TGIF RACES, (Saturday afternoon/evening) The PHRF feet will have a handicap start around a 12 mile fixed triangle held Saturday evenings by GBCA, 2007 season starts June 9  Races also held June 16, July 21, 28, August 11, 25, September 1, & 15. C22's typcially start at 5:44 PM at channel marker #2. This is a fun race and the staggered/self start makes it a good choice for those who have not raced before. The 12 mile couse can take awhile so take a GPS, and make sure your lights work in case the wind dies. Check GBCA web site  for infomation or e-mail Rob Calkins.

*At the NOOD Regatta/Catalina 22 Spinnaker Championship, Sept. 24-26, 2004, the results were 1) Pete Harper-Hummingbird, 2) Gene Ferguson-Bulletproof, 3) Larry Spruiell-Popeye, 4) Gary Peterson-Insanity, 5) Marilyn Boemer-Calypso, 6) Russ Ansley-Zoo, 7) Kenny Dykes-Lil Buddy, 8) Bill Broaddus-Half Fast, 9) John Flato-Fins, 10) Kurtis Sampson-Floating Logic

*March 15-16, 2003 The fleet held a St. Patrick's Day cruise to Double Bayou.  Participants included Nettles-Lara-Ley, Quintero-Daiquiri, Osborne-Whisper, Roe-Que Vadis, O'Byrne-Adrift, Becher-Caboose Kide and Guillory-Time Out.

34 boats particaplated in the National Championship Regattta held in Galveston Bay June 15-20, 2002.  The top 5 finishes in the gold fleet were 1) Don Carsten-Rumb Runner-Michigan, 2) Pete Harper-Hummingbird-Lake Travis 3) David Hayslip-Enterprise-Lake Grapevine 4) Wade Bingaman-Dry Heave-Lake Travis 5) Ted Owens-Mojo-Lake Travis.  For complete results click here. Houston Yacht Club - one of the major yacht clubs in the area since 1897 or so.
