| Peter CLAUS and Theresa MULLER left their home in Bas Rhin, Alsace, France in 1839 and came to Indiana Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where they purchased a farm on Saxonburg Blvd. near present-day Hartwood Acres, and proceeded to "be fruitful and multiply". |

| Today hundreds of their descendants still live in the Pittsburgh area, while hundreds more are scattered across the country. |
|
| This web site is a clearing-house for data on all the descendants of Peter & Theresa. Someday soon we hope to add information about their life in Alsace before coming to America, but so far we have not been successful in tracing them to a particular village. |
