Cailin Manson, baritone, a Philadelphia native, is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after young operatic talents in the region for his unusually brilliant and captivating performances, and his exceptional musicianship.

Cailin has been featured in a wide range of musical presentations, both in the United States and abroad. He has performed as a soloist with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart, the Southwest German Festival Orchestra, the Florida Philharmonic, and with various other organizations such as the Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, the Choral Society of Montgomery County, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, the Abington Choral Club, the Old York Road Symphony, the Germantown Oratorio Choir, the Delaware Valley Opera Company, Opera North, Inc. and the Philadelphia Suburban Music Collective. Cailin has worked with numerous famous artists such as Carmen Balthrop, Diane Monroe, Marietta Simpson, Jerrold Fisher, Carl Høgset, Diego Fasolis, Alan Harler, Thomas Bailly, and David Tang. He was a featured soloist at the 2002 Convention of the National Opera Association, and has presented vocal masterclasses and lecture-recitals at the Konservatorium in Oslo, Norway and the Luxembourg Conservatoire. An avid recitalist, Cailin has presented numerous recitals in concert halls in Switzerland, Italy, Austria and France, where he was invited to act as guest cantor at the Cathedral of Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur Basilica in Paris, and The Basilica of St. Mark in Venice.

Cailin's work spans from performances of the standard operatic and classical vocal repertoire, to performances on the "cutting edge" of vocal music in the 20th and 21st Centuries. Cailin is prized for his interpretations of Handel and Mozart operatic roles, and he has created roles in new vocal works. To this end, he recently performed the title role of Mozart's Don Giovanni in Munich, as the baritone soloist in the Stabat Maters of both Dvorak and Rossini in Dresden, and as Méphistopheles in a NYC production of Gounod's Faust, as well as performing the Philadelphia premiere of Herman's song cycle Prelude to Winter, as the baritone soloist in the world premieres of Mosakowski's Haunted Palace and Devaron's Seven Veils, a leading role in Burrs' Vanqui, and a leading role in the premiere recording of Fuerle's Rebellion.

In 2003, Cailin became Music Director of the Atlantic City Community Chamber Orchestra. Under his direction, the organization became the Chamber Symphony of Atlantic City, a fully professional orchestra. The orchestra's concert performances of Mendelssohn's Die Erste Walpurgisnacht and Elijah, Beethoven's Mass in C, a concert version of Cherubini's Medea, and a series dedicated to the later Symphonies of Mozart all garnered high acclaim. The Chamber Symphony appointed Cailin as Music Director Laureate, a permanent position, in 2005.

Cailin was inducted, in 2002, as a Fellow of the North American Academy of Arts and Sciences; he was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2005 by the North American Academy, after appearing as the keynote speaker for Arts and Education at the organization's 2005 National Convention. He has also served as an educator, as a member of the Voice Staff of the Performing Arts Institute of Wyoming Seminary, as Assistant Director of Choirs at Gwynedd-Mercy College, and as a member of the Voice Faculty for the Napoli School of Music and
