![]() Jacob Moore was born, I believe, somewhere in PA before 1800. Haven't found him yet. Amster Moore was born in Belmont County, Ohio. Amster made base and tenor drums. Once he had a cow die that was just ready to freshin. From the calves hides he made two tenor drum heads and from the cow hide two bass drum heads. The Government bought these drums for $400.00. One of these drums was seen, with Amster Moore's name on it, at the second battle of Bull Run. Lorenzo Moore was born in Washington Township, Belmont County, Ohio. In April of 1910 Lorenzo and Julia Ann were living in their own house, still in Washington Township, and they had been married for 43 years. He was 70, a retired farmer, and Julia Ann was 64.
