Descendants of Dr. Peter DeSanctis in the United States

After my wife Lucille passed away, my daughter Janet and my granddaughter Caroline persuaded me to purchase a computer and write about my 50 years of experience as a medical doctor. As a result I found myself getting involved in the genealogy of my parents, Alfonsina DeSanctis and Antonio Masi. Through the ancestry web site in 1998 I sought information regarding relatives of the DeSanctis family, as well as the Masi family.

With the help of all my available cousins, I was able to receive considerable information. To my surprise, after almost giving up hope of finding DeSanctis relatives in Italy, on June 13, 2001 I received an email from Claudio DeSanctis informing me that he was a relative. His grandfather Potito DeSanctis and my grandfather Dr. Peter DeSanctis were brothers.

After two years, I was able to fulfill my ambition in obtaining the history of the DeSanctis family. Claudio has given me so much valuable information dating back to the 14th century. On September 18, 2001 with my daughter Janet Herrick and my granddaughter Caroline Nosal, we made the trip to Italy and personally met Claudio DeSanctis and his wonderful family. Before we left he gave me considerable documents related to the DeSanctis family. We have kept in contact ever since.

I hope I have instilled enough interest in our cousins to somehow continue this genealogy of the DeSanctis family. What follows is all the data that I have obtained, as well as pictures both recent and old.
