We live in Killeen, Texas which has a population of 102,003 (2006 est.). Killeen is located in Bell County (Population 257,897 2006 est.). My Occupation is with the City of Killeen as a Fire Prevention Officer (Retired). Catherine joined the Army Reserves and has completed basic training and AIT at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. See her High School senior page, a link is located at the bottom of this page. Some of our hobbies are: ice skating, bowling, fishing, ice hockey, reading and movies. Our computer's are an Apple Macintosh Performa 6300 CD, Catherine has a Dell 8200 and I have a Gateway GT5012.

Catherine is home for the holidays. I went to the Dallas-FortWorth airport
to pick her up.

Catherine had to return to basic training. I drove her to the
Dallas-FortWorth airport for her flight back.

Catherine arrived home today after completing her AIT training. I
picked her up at the Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport.

Today makes one year that I have been retired. I am enjoying it. I go
to Austin to ice skate every chance I get. I go see a movie
when there is a good one playing. I enjoy watching movies and sports on
my large screen HD television. I spend time on my
computer and keep up our web pages. Most of all I enjoy being able to
enjoy life and do things without having to be in a hurry.

I entered the Army in March, 1969, at Fort Benning, Georgia for Basic Training, (First Training Brigade, Fifth Battalion, Company B) then I was assigned to Aberdeen, Maryland for AIT (United States Army Ordnance Center and School 41C20 CL# 40). I graduated from AIT on September 12, 1969. After AIT I was assigned to Fort Hood, Texas (1st AD HQ&A Co. 123rd Maint. Bn.). My next assignment was to Vietnam (Feb. 1970-Jan. 1971) in the (199th LIB, 7th Support Bn.) and then to the (86th Maintenance Battalion, 160th HEM Company (GS).) (R&R was taken in Sydney, Australia). After Vietnam I was assigned to Schweinfurt, Germany (1971-1973) (7th Corp Co. B 71st Maint. Bn. Conn Barracks) and then I came back to Fort Hood. (2nd AD HQ&A Co. 124th Maint. Bn. and 1st Cav. Div., D Co. 27th Maint. Bn.) (During October-December, 1976 our company was assigned temporary duty at Fort Irwin, California for desert training with the 2nd Blackjack Brigade. I became a, Official Desert Rat) and upon my return to Fort Hood from Fort Irwin I went to B Co. 27th Maint. Bn.) Honorable Discharge in July 1977 at the rank of SSG.
Catherine, USAR, PFC, has completed basic training ( E Co. 3 Plt., 3rd Bn 13th Inf. Regt. Class # 07-02 Rottweilers) and AIT ( C Co. 369 2nd Platoon). Both were at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
