Percussion for Musicians
Although percussion has been around since time began, the academic study of it is relatively new i n the music world.  Since the twentieth century, there has been an explosion in field of percussion.  To meet the demands, many well known composers have written for solo percussion and percussion ensemble.  This page has been designed to point out some of the historically and compositionally significant works for percussion.  This is not all inclusive, but merely a survey of pieces that percussionists should know.  Please contact me if you think I am missing one.
