Starting at center, ch 6. Join with sl St to form ring,

1st rnd: Ch 4, tr in ring, (ch 5, 2 tr in ring) 7 times; ch 1, tr in top of ch-4.

2nd rnd: Ch 3, 4 dc in loop just formed, ch 2, (5 dc in next loop, ch 2) 7 times. Join with sl St to top of ch-3.

3rd rnd: Ch 3, dc in next dc, '~ ch 3, skip 1 dc, holding back on hook the last loop of each dc, dc in next 2 dc, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made); ch 3, cluster over next 2 dc. Repeat from ~' around, ending with ch 3. Join with sl st to first dc.

4th rnd: Ch 3, dc in same place as sl st was made, * ch 3, 2 dc in tip of next cluster, in next sp make ch 2, sc and ch 2 (lacet made), 2 dc in next cluster. Repeat from ~ around, ending with ch 2. Join to top of ch-3.

5th rnd: Ch 3, dc between ch-3 and next dc, dc in next dc (starting dc group made), * ch 3, dc in next dc, dc between same dc and next dc, dc in next dc (another dc group). Repeat from * around, ending with ch 3. Join as before.

6th rnd: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc (starting dc group over dc group), *ch 3, dc in next 3 dc (dc group over dc group), lacet in next sp, dc group over dc group. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 2. Join.
