DRAGONHEART by Charles Edward Pogue
This Novel is based on Pogue's own screenplay. It differs from the film in many ways and is altogether superior. Whereas the film panders to a mainstream audience, the Novel is literate and addresses an audience already knowledgable and familiar with the world of Myth, Folklore, Fairytale and Fantasy. It is one of the best modern dragon stories I have ever come across and I highly recommend it.
